I finally bought this dress that I had had on hold for awhile at The Atomic Garage. I love it so much and I am very excited because there are limitless outfit possibilities. I plan on wearing it often. I wish that it came in every color.

I have been getting bunches of supplies to make cute/weird headwear with, so look forward to an Etsy shop sometime in the near future!

Nyah's Birthday Party

Outfit Details: Dress- Francesca's Collection, Belt- Urban Outfitters, Tights- Target, Flats- Gap, Headband- Made by me
My aunt has some of the neatest glasses in her collection.
I am immensely jealous of this amazing tea towel that my aunt found at the antique jamboree.
My cousin Capricia and my Aunt Toni
My Aunt Lenette and my Aunt Gigi
My Aunt Carol. She is an amazing woman who has always been one of my heroes. She's incredibly smart, thrifty, and hilarious. I love her and all of my aunts tons and tons.
My Uncle Rick, my Uncle Mark, and my Grandpa.
Capricia and Simon
Happy Birthday, Nyah! I can't believe that it was ten years ago that my little cousin was born. I was 10 when she was born, now I'm 20!
This photo is incredible to me. My uncle hardly ever smiles and to capture it with my camera? I can't believe it! I think as a late birthday gift, I am going to get this printed and framed for her.

Antique Jamboree Summer 2011, Possible Etsy Shop, & a Manicure

A "new" pair of vintage glasses, aren't they beautiful?
Ellie already loves my "new" chair. She fits right in.

Today was the summer antique jamboree in Valley Junction. I had to work most of the day, so I didn't get around to going until around 2:30. I walked around for a bit, but I felt rushed because of the impending rain. Some of the dealers were already gone by the time I got down to the junction, but I'm pleased with my two finds, I think the glasses are just fabulous and the chair goes perfectly with the rest of my furniture.

I am thinking of starting an Etsy shop to sell various items in. I've been making weird/cute headbands, so if that seems like something you would buy, let me know! Give me your feedback on what you like, don't like, want to see, etc. I want to sell things for low prices because I know that I like finding great things for cheap.

Last thing: Check out my manicure! I know it might not be impressive to some, but this is literally the best manicure I have ever given myself. I wanted to do a rainbow themed manicure for Pride yesterday and I decided to go with a gooey or oozy effect. What do you think?

Running Errands

Outfit Details: Sweater- Target, White top- Forever 21, Skirt- Forever 21, Tights- Target, Flats- Gap, Necklace- Vintage, Eyeglasses- Vintage

Today I was very busy running errands. I had to take fruit to my mom at work and after I did that, I walked around the farmer's market for a bit and bought some banana bread and tried on some vintage dresses at Atomic Garage. I found an adorable little black dress that I am going to buy. It's perfect because there are so many ways to wear it, I can accessorize it with pretty much anything. Then I had to take my little brother to Kung Fu which was very nice to watch.
I'm finally home and I honestly just want to laze around for awhile, maybe watch a movie on Netflix and work on a couple of DIY projects.

Recent Finds

Fabric probably from the sixties that I found at Rose's Antiques. There's enough to probably make a dress.
A dress I bought on my birthday at Francesca's Collections.
A dress from my friend Hannah.
Sixties wiggle dress from the Atomic Garage in Des Moines.

Flowers at the Farmer's Market
Check out these neat cans I spotted in Hannah's garage.

I've been working a lot lately, my work outfit is always really boring and consists of black pants, black shoes, and a shirt. So I haven't really been wearing anything aside from that or my pajamas. I'm hoping to get into my storage unit sometime soon because that is where most of my clothes are, along with my furniture.
